The mountune lower intercooler Hard Pipe Upgrade directly replaces the restrictive factory lower intercooler pipe and features a 39% increase in airflow.
Easy to install, it's also compatible with the mountune ultra high-performance silicone boost hose kit, or the original intercooler coupling hoses.

United KingdomOrdered just the pipe due to the silicon hoses being unavailable. It’s a surprisingly simple (appearance) piece of kit, as described on the website; well presented as you expect from Mountune. The weight difference is very noticeable as soon as you remove the original Ford pipe, the Mountune upgrade being much lighter, and the design apparently much simpler - no ‘baffle-collar’ as per the original part, just a straight-through pipe. Fitting is straight forward; car onto axle stands, under tray removed then 2 hose clips (7mm hex or screwdriver), a 10mm bolt and a 13mm nut. All done in circa 30 mins. I was unsure whether I would notice the difference, buying the pipe as prep for potential MR300 however very pleasingly there is an instantly recognisable difference; so the 39% flow increase as per the website description. The throttle feels lighter which I expect is actually the improved responsiveness due to the increased airflow; the car spools-up quicker so despite the lack of silicon hoses (which moreso give a longevity benefit I expect?) fitting the hard pipe alone at this stage does result in a noticeable change; and added another smile! Well worth the reasonable price; straight forward to fit. Thank you Mountune.
